Message from Fr. Mark: With much joy I write to you all, expressing my heartfelt thanks to His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP for his decision to keep me as your Pastor, and expressing my thanks to all of you who showed your support to the Church and your love for me and my family. It is a known fact that our Parishioners have a strong attachment to St. Nicholas Church, you all support your Church, and I see your support. However, what I would like to see more of is YOU! Please help us fill-up our Church with you and your families (children included!). Please make an effort in your most busy schedules to come to your Church, your spiritual home, which needs your presence & support. Please be a part of my life by making the Church a part of your life! God bless you!

September 1st is the Orthodox Ecclesial New Year, and I am making a new year’s resolution on your behalf for this parish: “No Negativity Policy”. Remember what our mothers told us when we were young: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all…”, and remember also what our Lord continues to tell us: “Do unto others, what you want done to you…” Let’s practice these Golden Rules and see how our Parish will change for the better! Remind each other! Help each other! Love each other! Stay together!

POWER CHURCH DATA ENTRY

Dear Parishioners

After a great deal of effort in trying to find an appropriate software for the church, your Parish council has decided to upgrade the church's software in the office to one called Power Church plus version 11. The software, when completely installed, will improve the office efficiency. The amount of the improvement will depend on the accuracy of the data entered in to the system. That is the reason we will be requesting you to update the information on the family and the individuals in your family. The information on the family is called the family profile, and the information on the individuals in the family are called personal profiles.

We have prepared forms to be filled out to make it easier to collect and input the data. You will need one family form and as many personal profile forms as there are members.

Example: Dad, Mom, Son and Daughter require one family document filled out, and four personal profiles, one for the father, mother, and one for each child.

If you want to request the forms by email you can do so by calling the church office. If you have difficulty in filling them out you can contact the church office for help. All personal information is confidential

It is essential to get the proper information to update our files in order to better serve you and make our office more efficient.

Thank you

Lorne Zakaib
